Coach Whitney

MEET COACH WHITNEY! Raised a cheerleading coach's daughter, Whitney Gray, had but only one choice, to be a cheerleader. As soon as she could walk, she began gymnastics, dance, and attending all the Central Davidson High School sports events as the unofficial 'cheer mascot'. Throughout the ages of 6-18, Whitney competed on multiple cheer, dance, and pom squads, while also cheering for her local schools. From 8th grade to 12th, she made the All-American cheer squad, where she had the ability to cheer around the country in an array of sporting events and televised holiday parades. She has competed up and down the east coast, and has been blessed to be coached and choreographed by those that inspired her to do the same. Whitney attended the University of North Carolina - Charlotte and received her BFA in Theatre with a secondary degree in Religious Studies. She was able to further her dancing knowledge in hip hop while in college. Whitney was fortunate to be a part of a college team that choreographed and performed 'Requiem for New Orleans'; a hip hop tribute to those affected by Hurricane Katrina. Along with an array of personal team championships, she has lead other squads to victory with choreographed competition routines. Over the past 3 years, Whitney has lived in Blackfoot, Idaho. There she is the head coach of the Bingham All Stars. Along with coaching cheer, she also coaches Level 1-4 gymnastics. She also has had the opportunity to choreograph stunt routines for Snake River High School in Idaho, where they placed 1st at Districts two years in a row! Whitney has a passion for training teams in cheer, dance, and gymnastics. She teaches skill levels of all types; a child's first forward roll to a teen hitting their first full twist. Her love and devotion to young athletes is evident. She has, truly, lived her life in the world of cheer, dance, and gymnastics, and is eager to begin working with the next generation of athletes!
